Resumo:
The term road safety is something much discussed, especially in Brazil where there is a
high rate of accidents. According to these findings, this work seeks to use historical data
(accidents that have already occurred and had their information stored in some database),
made available by the Polícia Rodoviária Federal on its website, to predict possible accidents
throughout the BR-376 in Paraná through statistical methods of dorecasting, and
then joining these predictions with data visualization techniques, and finally transmitting
this information to people who are interested. Through this visualization, it would be
possible for highway administrators and government agencies to create distribution logistics
of road resources according to accident forecasts, possibly reducing time to attend to
occurrences and idleness of resources. At the end of the work, already with the prototype
of the tool created, it was possible to create means to evaluate it, and thus to seek ways
to improve it in the future.
